Configuration Options :: Cage BACK Geometry & Modifications
Starting with version 0.70, CageMaker PRCG can generate cages with many of the same modifications that can be used on the faceplate.
These settings only apply to the back of the cage proper. Separate controls are present for the top/bottom and sides of the cage. These settings do not apply for cageless faceplates created by setting the faceplate only option to a fixed height.
cage back geometry
new for version 0.7 :: This setting determines how CageMaker PRCG generates the back of the cage, which can be one of the following:
- Open Back is the default setting, which produces a largely open back with maximum ventilation area.
- Solid Back (No Ventilation Cutout) produces a solid back without any opening. This setting is required if using modifications to the back of the cage.
- Mostly Open Back With 6mm Retention Lips On Both Sides removes most of the back except for two 6mm retention lips on either wise to hold the back of the device and keep it from sliding through the cage.
- No Back At All instructs CageMaker PRCG to not generate a cage back. This setting is useful for situations where another object will act as a backstop, such as using a cage attached to a backplane.
When using the No Back At All setting in conjunction with a backplane such as for multiple hard drives, it may be necessary to reduce the manual device depth setting by the value of the manual support cage base size setting so that the back of the cage is roughly equal to the depth of the device. Further reduction of the depth may be required to clear components on any backplane, etc.

cage back centered mod type
new for version 0.7 :: Select a port, connector, or mounting point to add to the center of the cage's back. Configurable grids of the same modification can be created.
For the current list of supported modifications, please consult Supported Modifications.
The mod selected here will be centered both horizontally and vertically on the back.
This option is only enabled if the cage back geometry is set to Solid Back (No Ventilation Cutout).
IEC-C13/C14/C19/C20 cutouts are sized to fit most commonly available C-series mains inlets/outlets, but some manual resizing may be required. By default, the cutout sizes are: 32.5x25mm for screw-mount C13/C14, 33x26mm for snap-in C13/C14, 33x25mm for screw-mount C19/C20, and 37.5x29.5mm for snap-in C19/C20.

cage back centered mod grid columns
cage back centered mod grid rows
new for version 0.7 :: Creates a grid of the selected mod - these settings determine the number of copies of the mod per column or row. CageMaker supports grids of the same modification repeated up to twelve wide by four tall.
CageMaker PRCG will enforce space restrictions as needed - if a single modification, or a grid of modifications, is too wide and/or tall to fit, an error message will appear.
This option is only enabled if the cage back geometry is set to Solid Back (No Ventilation Cutout).

cage back left side mod type
new for version 0.7 :: Select a port, connector, or mounting point to add to the back of the cage. Configurable grids of the same modification can be created.
For the current list of supported modifications, please consult Supported Modifications.
CageMaker PRCG will enforce space restrictions as needed - if a single modification, or a grid of modifications, is too wide and/or tall to fit, an error message will appear.
This option is only enabled if the cage back geometry is set to Solid Back (No Ventilation Cutout).
The right-side mod's settings are similar to the left-side mod's.

cage back left side mod horizontal offset
new for version 0.7 :: Sets the horizontal position for the port, connector, or mounting point, relative to the horizontal center of the back of the cage. If this is left at zero, CageMaker PRCG will attempt to place it automatically to one side of the back of the cage if there is sufficient room to do so.
Horizontal and vertical offset settings for modifications also apply to grids of modifications, in which case the center of the grid is the point about which the grid will be offset. If an offset will push one or more modifications in a grid off the edge of the back of the cage, CageMaker PRCG will display an error warning.
CageMaker PRCG will enforce space restrictions as needed - if a single modification, or a grid of modifications, is too wide and/or tall to fit, an error message will appear.
This option is only enabled if the cage back geometry is set to Solid Back (No Ventilation Cutout).
The right-side mod's settings are similar to the left-side mod's.

cage back left side mod vertical offset
new for version 0.7 :: Sets the vertical position for the port, connector, or mounting point, relative to the vertical center of the back of the cage.
Horizontal and vertical offset settings for modifications also apply to grids of modifications, in which case the center of the grid is the point about which the grid will be offset.
