Configuration Options :: Rarely-Changed Options

As the name implies, settings in this section should not need to be changed under most circumstances.

device clearance
This setting adds a small amount of clearance (0.5mm by default) to the device dimensions so as to make the resulting cage a slip-fit without being too tight to allow inserting the device. This permits adding a little compensation for slight deviations in dimensional accuracy in the 3D printer.

faceplate radius
This setting determines whether the faceplate will have rounded or sharp corners.

cutout radius
This setting determines whether the side/top/bottom cutouts have rounded corners, and if so, how round. As a general rule there should be no reason to change this from the default.

snap fit tolerance
This setting adjusts the sockets on the back of the faceplate when printing the cage and faceplate separately.

this fn
This sets the facet count of all curved surfaces. Higher values make for smoother curves but significantly increase render time and can slow the script down horribly.

no logotype
This setting disables the logotype panel displayed below the faceplate/cage in the preview. This logotype panel is only displayed during previews and is automatically removed during renders.
